This article summaries the Automation Section of Rencore Governance
When clicking on the Automations tab you will be presented with the Automations landing page. This page is broken down into 4 different sections.
Processed Automations
On the top left side of the Automations page, you will see the "Processed Automations" section.

This section displays a breakdown of all automation that has been created for the current environment. Changing the Time range drop-down in the top right will change the statistical data displayed and the statistical data is broken down by:
- Total Automation Triggered
- Total Automations Completed
- Check Violation AutomationsTriggered
- Check Violations Automations that Completed
- Scheduled Automation Triggered
- Scheduled Automations that Completed
- Manual Automation Triggered
- Manual Automations that Completed
Processed Automations Trendline
On the top center of the Automations page, you will see the "Processed Automations Trendline" section.
This section shows a trendline of all automation processed in the selected time range.
Automations requiring attention
On the top right of the Automations page, you will see the "Automations requiring attention".
This section displays automation that has errors, this will show:
- Definition errors - Errors that are caused due to incorrect placeholders used.
- Permission errors - Errors that are caused due to consent missing for specific automation (e.g. Update group property).
- Run errors - Errors that have occurred while running automation for an entity.
Automation's
At the bottom of the Automations page, you will see the list of all automation that has been created in the environment. The list of Automations can be filtered as to whether they are active or not and also via the service.
For each of the automation's, you will see:
Name |
Description |
Active | Whether or not the automation is enabled. |
Service | What Service the automation is for (e.g. Azure AD). |
Title | The name of the automation. |
Trigger | The method of trigger for the automation (i.e. Manual, Scheduled, check violation). |
Steps | The number of steps the automation has. |
Action | The number of actions the automation runs. |
Triggered | The number of times the automation has been triggered. |
Completed | The number of times the automation has been completed. |
Category | The category the automation has been set against. |
Owner | The person who created the automation. |
Last Update | The last time the automation was edited. |
Adding and Editing an Automation
In order to add automation, click the button "Add Automation" in the top right of the automation screen. For more details on how to add an automation view the Knowledge Base article How to: Add an Automation from a Library Template.
To edit an automation you can either click on the title of an automation and then click the "Edit Automation" button in the top right or click click on the ellipsis on the right next to an automation then click "Edit Automation". It is also possible to delete an automation via the ellipsis.
